Dom makes a welcome return to Bradninch after a busy summer touring in Yorkshire and playing at folk festivals in the South and South West. During that time, Greg Russell has played tracks off Dom’s stunning debut Album ‘Young Man on a Ferry’ on his New Traditions programme on BBC Radio Sheffield and the album garnered an excellent review in Shire Folk. In July Dom raced down from playing at clubs in Derbyshire to open for Phil Beer at Uxbridge folk club. He then did several performances in London. If you haven’t seen him live this is your chance. If you’ve seen him before yu’’ll want o come back and listen to some new songs from this talented young performer.
‘To borrow a term from the BBC Folk Awards, Dom is a ‘horizon artist’, an emerging artist on the scene who has made a significant increase in popularity or a special impression. Although not yet well known in Devon he is playing festivals and clubs across the country. Watching him play marks him out as a performer who is destined to be on the leading edge of his generation and a really nice guy. We are not alone in this observation’ (Flaxey Green)
‘Dom has played our club twice and each time we were blown away by his songs, musicianship and voice; he is a breath of fresh air. His well-written and thought provoking songs grab your attention. This guy is the real deal and currently building a significant reputation on the folk and acoustic music scene.’ (Tony Batten Milverton Music)
