Dom Prag at Wickham Festival

Catch Dom’s set at the Quay West Cave stage at 3.50 pm. If you didn’t get to see him last year get along there and have a lsiten to his compelling intricate guitar playing and wide range of songs. He moves with ease from traditional songs, sometimes sung unaccompanied, to modern folk classics by people like Richard Thompson and Paul Davenport. His voice is melodious and he holds the audience captivated as the stories in the songs unspool. His own songs can be a storm of folk rock, like ‘Unemployment Song’ or wry and amusing, like ‘Chemicals’, with its tuneful nod to Patsy Cline. His programme flows from haunting ballads to rumbustious songs of protest blending sadness, fury, humour and joy into one breathtaking demonstration of musical skill.
‘Dom Prag…excellent performer. Different, subtle, young - snappy guitarist too, engaging; did one cover but his own material was best. If you run a club check this guy out. He is a good sport too. Book him !!!!!!!!!!’ (Anthony John Clarke, folk musician)
