Young Dom Prag impressed everyone so much when he did a feature spot at Chesham in 2019 that he was invited back for a guest spot. Dom is a young singer songwriter from Southampton whose debut album, ‘Young Man on a Ferry’ came out in December 2018 and straight away began garnering praise, awarded Album of the Month by the Richard Harris Folk and Blues Show on Blues and Roots Radio. Dom has played at folk festivals including Wickham, Purbeck Valley, Wimborne and the South Downs folk festival. He has performed in folk clubs from North Yorkshire to Suffolk to Devon for the last two years and demand for his performances is growing. He plays a classical guitar he inherited from his father, who taught him to play. His style is a breathtaking fusion of classical and folk techniques. Among his own songs the tunes he composes are remarkable for their musicality and depth. Often deceptively simple, they have a vivid dynamic range. Another of his passions is traditional folk , particularly songs that express injustice. His arrangements of traditional songs are astonishing in unexpected ways while losing none of the original purity and he does excellent cover versions of songs by people like Richard Thompson, Christy Moore, Paul Davenport and Eric Bogle.
'Dom Prag takes the place by storm with his energy, wonderful singing and beautiful Spanish guitar playing - he's a seriously talented young folk singer on the way to great things.’ (Mike Peach, The Anchor Folk Club)
